One-on-One Research Help
Have you been assigned a research paper and don’t know how to proceed? Let the friendly staff in the Library assist you with learning how to use the resources in the library. Has your teacher requested that you use an online database to find a magazine or journal article and you have no clue where to turn? We can help. We are offering a new service for all OTC students and staff. The new service is one-on-one assistance learning how to use the resources in the Library.
The Library staff can assist you with the following:
- Library catalog searching
- Online reference databases (EBSCO, JSTOR)
- Learning how to use the Library
- Resources that you haven't considered
Let us sit down with you in a one-on-one setting and guide you through using some of the most popular resources in the library.

Appointments will usually last from 30-50 minutes. We will respond as soon as possible to confirm the appointment. If you have not received a response within three days or if you need to cancel an appointment, please call the service desk at (417) 447-8185.
