CNA Programs

Certified Nurse AssistantThis class meets the classroom and clinical requirements for Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to be a CNA. Final State Exam required ($200) and will happen shortly post-class.  

Requirements:
-be 18 years of age and employable in a long-term care facility;

-must appear in person with photo identification no later than one week prior to the first day of class: read and sign Healthcare Agreement, and pay for the class tuition;

-at the time of registration students will receive the Health Report form to have completed by a healthcare professional and turned in to the instructor on the first day of class. This form is required for proving rubella immunity/immunization, TDAP immunization, flu vaccine if taking class in Spring or Fall,  and negative TB skin test performed within the previous six months. In addition, it requires a statement from a physician that student is free from any contagious chronic illness;

-during first week of class, student will go online to pay application fee of $12 for Family Care Safety registry;

-by the end of the first two weeks of class, prior to clinicals, students will need the following supplies: OSHA approved shoes recommended (no open toe/heel and no mesh) Other supplies will be provided in class.


There is no refund for healthcare classes for any reason, unless cancelled by the college. Classes are not eligible for Federal Student Loans, Pell or FAFSA. This is appropriate for those new to the healthcare field.

In the fall of 2014, we anticipate having a Table Rock OTC CNA class. More information to follow.

Hybrid classes take place online and in the classroom approximately every 2 weeks.

Upon completion of the class, student is eligible to take the final exam to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of Missouri. The exam is $200.

These classes are appropriate for those currently employed in a long-term care facility. There are no clinicals included in these sections. Book included in tuition.

Certified Medication Technician Program

Certified Medication Technician

This class prepares CNAs to become CMTs to work in long term care facilities.  Meets the requirements of the MO DHSS.  Final State Exam required ($200) and will happen shortly post-class. Book included in tuition. No refunds unless class is canceled by OTC.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of WDH 102. Must have been employed as a CNA for 6 months in Missouri, current CNA license, present a high school diploma or GED, and a letter of recommendation from current or previous Director of Nursing.  Also must sign the Healthcare agreement.

CMT TABE Test Math ReviewThis class is mandatory for Certified Medication Technician students. This class includes a two day prep before the admittance  exam. Study packet included. Student must pick up packet at the CEC Building at 800 E. Central prior to class and complete first nineteen pages before first day of review.
