Requirements:
Students must appear in person with photo identification no later than one week prior to the first day of class to pay for (nonrefundable) criminal history & drug screen, and class. Students must be 18 years of age and employable in a long-term care facility. Students will need the following supplies: stethoscope, watch (with a second hand), light to medium colored scrubs, and white OSHA approved shoes. Proof of rubella immunity/immunization, negative TB skin test performed with the previous six months, and a personal physician's statement that student is free from any contagious chronic illness are needed prior to the first day of class. Completed Healthcare form and registration on the Family Care Safety Registry required before clinicals. There is no refund for healthcare classes for any reason unless cancelled by the college. These classes are appropriate for those new to the healthcare field.

Hybrid classes take place online and in the classroom approximately every 2 weeks.

Upon completion of the class, student is eligible to take the final exam to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of Missouri. The exam is $125.

These classes are appropriate for those currently employed in a long-term care facility.

This class prepares CNAs to become CMTs to work in long term care facilities.  Meets the requirements of the MO DHSS.  Final State Exam required ($125).  Nonrefundable fee for random drug screen. 

Prerequisites: Successful completion of WDH 101 and WDH 569. Must have been employed as a CNA for 6 months, current CNA license, present a high school diploma or GED, a letter of recommendation from current or previous Director of Nursing, and pass the TABE test. Also must sign the Healthcare agreement.  Unemployed students have to have a criminal background. Hybrid classes are partially online, partially seated and open to all approved students who meet the requirements.

Class is mandatory for CMT and Pharmacy Tech students. This class prepares students for the math portion of the entrance exams. Book included. Chapters 1 and 2 are to be completed before the first class.

Applicants for the CMT must take and pass the TABE test and Pharmacy Technician class must take and pass the Healthcare Math test.  Some documents are required at registration for CMT
