Web Services
Web Services is uniquely positioned as part of the Advancement Department and reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Advancement | Student Affairs | Workforce Development. As such Web Services works closely with the College's Communication & Marketing department for one clear message both off and online, while coordinating technical aspects of online operations with the Information Technology Department.
The Office of Web Services has six main functions on behalf of the College:
- Vision and Innovation. Overall design, navigation, and structure of the College website.
- Online Marketing. Coordination of all SEO, SEM, SMM, blogs, microsites, and other online avenues to market the college.
- Analytics and Reporting. Provides information regarding the impact and effectiveness of the site to our stakeholders.
- Content Management. The Content Management System provides a user-friendly interface. Our office manages the technical aspects of this program and approves and trains users across the College.
- Live Chat. We manage the live chat system and authorize and train operators for use in their own departments.
- Web Help Desk. Provide support to content managers across the College.
Web Services Mission
The mission of OTC's Web Services Department is provide leadership for faculty and staff to facilitate accurate, timely, student-centered information to our website while giving a clear vision for the overall growth and future innovations to better market the college in the dynamic environment of the Internet.
