Jacqueline McKinsey has served the education community for a number of years. In addition to being a founding member of the OTC Board of Trustees, she has served on a number of boards throughout the city and state.

McKinsey served for 12 years on the Springfield School Board and two years on the Missouri School Board Association. She served on the Missouri Special Education Advisory Board for 20 years and is past president of the MCCA Board. In 1996, she was appointed by the governor to the Missouri Women's Council.

A trained mediator in the State of Missouri, McKinsey also served as a trained hearing officer for the state in cases involving disagreement between the parents of special education students and the schools for several years.

In October of 2004, McKinsey was named one of Springfield Business Journal's Most Influential Women. Only 20 women are recognized annually with this honor.
