Dolores Brooks
Dolores Brooks has contributed to the educational setting for many years, initally as a teacher in Indiana, Colorado, and Missouri. Mrs. Brooks served as assistant principal at Kickapoo High School and Central High School. She was principal at Jarret Junior High before becoming the first woman principal of a Springfield High School (Parkview High School).
She holds a B.S. from Purdue University, a Master's in Education in Guidance & Counseling from the University of Missouri, a Secondary Administration Certificate from Drury College. She also has a Master's in Education in Secondary School Administration from Missouri State University.
Brooks has served on various professional organizations in the area, including the Missouri Guidance Association, Southwest Missouri Association of Secondary School Principal (president), Springfield Education Association, Missouri State Teachers Association, United Way, Boy's and Girl's Club, Salvation Army, and many more.
Prior to her election to the orginal Board of Trustees, Mrs. Brooks was a member of the OTC steering committee. She served as OTC Trustee President from 1990–1992 and 2002–2003.
