The mission of the Center of Excellence is to:
- Support OTC's leadership role in education, and workforce development
- Collect information regarding tobacco-free policy
- Provide assistance to those interested in developing and implementing such policies in the service area, state, region and across the country
- Develop a web page and other means of communication regarding the work of the center
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the center

- Model Community College Tobacco-Free PolicyThis model was drafted by the American Lung Association of Oregon and Mr. Andrew Epstein, Oregon School Policy Coordinator at ALA. Mr. Epstein worked with Mr. Patterson in developing this model policy.
