Dual Credit

  • By enrolling in college-level classes while you're still in high school, you can work toward a degree at OTC before you even start college.

Tech Prep

  • Technical Preparation is part of a nationwide initiative to help students identify and build career skills while still in high school. A sequenced course of study usually begins in the 11th grade and continues through two years at a technical community college.

Career Center

  • Students from participating high schools have a unique opportunity to earn free college and high school credit through enrollment at the OTC Career Center
  • Students can build career and technical education skills while attending one-half day sessions at the Springfield campus during their junior and senior year
  • Tuition, books, and transportation to OTC’s Springfield campus are provided by the student’s sending high school, all at no cost to the student
  • Save time and the cost of college tuition while getting a jump-start on an associate or higher degree in a high demand career field
  • Aimed at students who wish to balance classroom-based scholastics with hands-on technology skills
  • Specialized studies with the area’s top instructors and state-of-the-art equipment and classrooms
  • Students develop specific career goals, preparation, and a good foundation for more education at the community college or four-year university
  • Attending OTC through the Career Center gives a competitive edge and expanded career opportunities in the job market for students who do not plan to attend additional college after high school graduation
