General Education
Ozarks Technical Community College is pleased to announce that the work on the CBHE 42-hour transfer block of general education has been completed to comply with the CBHE credit transfer policy. The course of study has been developed, approved by the curriculum and instruction committee of the college and has been accepted by the President as representative of the Board of Trustees.
With this introduction we include a general education reporting matrix and a preferred course sequence for the 42-hours of general education. A complete copy of the accompanying course syllabi is also available for your information and will be supplied upon request. The college will continue to refine assessment strategies and methodologies.
The faculty and staff who have worked with the process have found the exercise very worthwhile. The process has offered us an opportunity to examine the entire General Education curriculum at our college, make needed adjustments, and prepare to implement instruction in the Fall of 2002.
