The American Physical Therapy Association has awarded Ozarks Technical Community College’s Becky McKnight the 2009 F.A. Davis Outstanding Physical Therapist Assistant Educator of the Year.  McKnight is coordinator of the College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program.  The award was presented on June 11, 2009, at the Association’s annual conference, held this year in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Physical Therapist Assistant program is designed to prepare graduates to practice as an assistant to a Physical Therapist in a variety of health care settings.  Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National licensing exam.  McKnight has taught in OTC’s Physical Therapist Assistant program for 12 years, and has served as program coordinator for 8 of those years.
