To be determined eligible for the grant, students will need to visit the Missouri Career Center.  Appointments are not necessary, but plan to spend a couple hours for your initial visit.  The MCC is busiest during lunch hours, so you may want to plan your visit earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon.  For directions or further questions, call: 417-887-4343

WELDING SPECIALIST CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

This 20-week program (formerly the "Master Welder" program) provides a 32 credit hour certification in industrial welding.

Students need to meet specific requirements to be eligible for this program.  Please call: 417-447-2622 for more information.

DATES:
Fall 2014: July 28-December 12th 

Spring 2015: January 5-May 29th

Classroom hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm.

Cost: Tuition $0.  Students will be responsible for books (approx. $280) and fees (approx. $2,322) = approx. $2,602 remaining cost to student

MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGY

This 17 week program focuses on fabrication of parts from a wide variety of materials.  Students will utilize hands-on learning to operate manual mills and lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and CNC machines.

Spring 2015: January 19th-May 21st

Classroom hours: Monday-Thursday 11am-5pm.

Cost: Tuition $0.  Students will be responsible for books and fees (approx. $1,382).

Pay range for Missouri jobs in this field: $30,000-80,000

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGY

This 17 week program prepares students to enter the challenging field of integrated manufacturing, including automation and robotics.  Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems are all featured.

DATES:
Fall 2014: August 18-December 12th

Spring 2015: January 19th-May 21st

Classroom hours: Monday-Thursday 11am-5pm.

Cost: Tuition $0. Students will be responsible for books and fees (approx. $1,361).

Pay range for Missouri jobs in this field: $30,000-80,000

 


IMPORTANT:  This 17 week program is a selective admissions program. Students need to complete the following steps to be considered for this program:

  1. Complete an OTC application online: www.otc.edu/apply
  2. Take the COMPASS placement test (required if student has not completed the equivalent of OTC mathematics and English requirements)
  3. Pre-register and take Bennett and Wonderlic tests (There is at $30 fee associated with these tests which can be paid at the Cashier's office)
