Education
Our education courses will transfer directly into Teacher Education Certification Program requirements off area four-year colleges and universities from P-12. Students interested in this track should complete the 42-hour General Education Block, the courses in the education emphasis, and additional requirement-specific electives.
There are over 20 specialties within Teacher Education. Each four-year college or university has unique requirements, so students should receive advising for their specific degree plan at both OTC and the receiving four-year school.
For students who are working toward the Associate of Arts in Teaching degree, please visit All Degrees & Certificates for more information.
Criminal Justice
The Criminal Justice courses provide a foundation and preparation for students to continue on to a higher level degree in criminal justice or other associated social science, legal, and political science areas.
OTC has an articulation agreement with Missouri Southern State University, which allows students completing the Associate of Arts (AA) degree with an emphasis in Criminal Justice direct admission into any of their Criminal Justice majors. Other area 4-year institutions also accept for transfer the OTC Criminal Justice coursework.
Psychology
The Psychology courses allow students to develop academic abilities that will serve them in many different career and academic paths. An emphasis in psychology allows students to complete upper level courses within a directed path of study preparing them for upper division work at a four-year, transfer institution.
