OTC Foundation Scholarships
The OTC Foundation Scholarships are made possible by donations from generous families and organizations. Each scholarship is unique and students must meet criteria as defined by the specific donor of the scholarship.

The current Foundation Scholarships are listed below with a description of the benefits and requirements of each. All OTC Foundation Scholarships are contingent upon available funds from the donor.
Bodie & Marissa Wolfe Scholarship
Applicants must be a first-generation college student (neither parent attended college) and enrolled as either a full or part-time student. This scholarship is for the fall semester and will be renewed for the spring semester if student maintains at least a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. The scholarship award is $500 each semester and can be used for tuition, fees, and/or books.
Classified Staff Scholarship
Applicants must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies and be enrolled as a full-time student at OTC. If applicant is not enrolled full-time, a written explanation of their circumstances must accompany their application. Anyone may apply, but priority is given to students pursuing a degree in Business Technology or related field. This scholarship award is based on funds available.
Dental Assisting Educator's Scholarship Fund
Applicants must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies and be enrolled in the OTC Dental Assisting Program at OTC. This scholarship award is only for the spring semester and will provide $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books (spring only).
Dental Hygiene Scholarship
Applicants must have at least 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies and be enrolled in the OTC Dental Assisting Program at OTC. This scholarship award is only for the spring semester and will provide $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books (spring only).
Gravelle & Harris - Community Foundation of the Ozarks
Applicants must have at least a 2.75 G.P.A. in their college and/or high school studies and rank in the upper 50th percentile of their high school graduating class, be a high school graduate of Springfield, Missouri, and be seeking a Certificate or Associate of Applied Science Degree in a technical, business, or allied health program at OTC. If the applicant is not enrolled full-time, a written explanation of their circumstance must accompany the scholarship application. Contingent upon funding, this scholarship award provides full in-district tuition including student fees (up to 15 credit hours) plus $300 for books. This scholarship is renewable for three additional semesters as long as the student maintains a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher.
Judge Russell Clark Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must have at least a 2.5 grade point average and demonstrate financial need.
Judy Breeding Accounting Scholarship
Applicants must be in the first semester of their second year at OTC and working toward an accounting degree with eligibility to set for the CPA exam and to transfer to a four-year college. Applicants must be enrolled or scheduled to enroll into Accounting I and have a least a 3.0 G.P.A. in the course. Applicant must have a 2.5 or higher G.P.A. overall and demonstrate financial need, academic promise and planning an accounting career. Applicant must also have the recommendation from an OTC accounting instructor and COMPLETE THE JUDY BREEDING ACCOUNTING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION.
Lee Cruse Charitable Trust
Applicants must have at least have a 2.75 G.P.A. or higher, enrolled in at least 12 hours, and be seeking a degree in Pre-Engineering, Allied Health or Technical Education. Applicants must be a graduate of a high school in OTC's school district . ALL APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT AN ESSAY DETAILING: FINANCIAL NEED, LEADERSHIP QUALITIES AND CAREER GOALS. Recipients of the scholarship must write a "Thank You" note to the donor and be available for a picture for the donor.
Lelia Heuer Charitable Trust
Applicants must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, enroll in at least 12 credit hours, and be seeking an Associate Degree or Certificate at OTC. If the applicant is not enrolled full-time, a written explanation of their circumstances must accompany the scholarship application. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply but due to the funding of this scholarship priority consideration will be given to applicants who are pursuing programs in the Allied Health field or those who live in Laclede or Howell County. This scholarship award provides $750 for the fall semester and will be renewed for the spring semester if the student maintains a 2.5 grade point average or higher.
Linda Gingry - Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund
Applicants must have at least a 2.75 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, be enrolled or have completed the first semester of the OTC Practical Nursing Program, and seeking a LPN certificate at OTC. Due to the funding of this scholarship, priority consideration will be given to applicants who graduated from Kickapoo High School while next priority will be given to all graduates of Springfield Public Schools. This scholarship award is only available for the spring semester and will provide $750 for tuition, fees, supplies, and/or books.
Musgrave Foundation
Applicants must have a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, enroll in at least 12 credit hours and be seeking an Associate of Applied Science Degree or Certificate in an Allied Health program at OTC. If the applicant is not enrolled full-time, a written explanation of their circumstances must accompany the scholarship application. This scholarship award will provide $500 per semester for tuition, fees, supplies, and/or books as long as funding from the donor is sufficient.
Nina Myers Memorial Scholarship
Anyone may apply. However, the award is based on the financial need of the student. This scholarship award is based on funds available.
O'Reilly Family Foundation Scholarship
Applicant must be pursuing an automotive degree. This scholarship award is based on funds available and may be used for tuition, fees and books.
Ozarks Antique Auto Club Scholarship
Applicants must have at least a 2.0 G.P.A. and be pursuing an automotive degree. This scholarship will be renewed automatically as long as the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress as defined by the OTC College Catalog.
Richard Glenn Staats Scholarship
Anyone may apply. However, the award is based on the financial need of the student. This scholarship award is based on funds available.
Roy W. Slusher Foundation
Applicants must have a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, enroll in at least 12 credit hours, and be seeking an Associate Degree or Certificate at OTC. If the applicant is not enrolled full-time a written explanation of their circumstances must accompany the scholarship application. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply but due to the funding of this scholarship priority consideration will be given to applicants who live in Taney County (preferably Forsyth). The scholarship award will be based on the number of eligible applicants while the minimum amount provides $500 for students enrolled full-time.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers
Applicants must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A. and pursuing a machine technology degree. Leadership skills are desirable. There are two awards, each for $150 and can be used for tuition, fees, and/or books.
Turner Family Foundation
Applicants must have a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, enroll in at least 6 credit hours and be seeking an Associate Degree or Certificate at OTC. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply but due to the funding of this scholarship priority consideration will be given to current Mansfield High School graduates, past Mansfield High School graduates, Wright County High School graduates and finally all other Missouri High School/GED graduates. This scholarship award provides $500 for students enrolled in 6 to 11 credit hours, $1,000 for students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours, and $500 for students receiving the Missouri A+ program funding. Students receiving this scholarship must maintain a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. and remain in the designated hours of enrollment. This scholarship may be used for summer terms.
How to Apply:
- Apply for admission to Ozarks Technical Community College
- Complete an OTC FOUNDATION Scholarship Application or acquire an application in the OTC Student Services.
- Attach an essay to your scholarship application that addresses the following topics: personal profile, educational and career goals and financial need.
- When applicable, have your official high school and/or college transcripts sent to OTC with rank, grade point average, and ACT scores.
- All information must be submitted or postmarked by June 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.
- All scholarship recipients will be notified by mail of any awards.
- Scholarship awards are nontransferable and may affect eligibility for other financial assistance.
- Foundation scholarships are not renewable, therefore you must reapply each year.
