Student Scholarships

Student Scholarships

A student's financial situation too often severely limits or prohibits him or her from pursing their
dream of obtaining a college education.

Nearly half of the students here aren't eligible for some kind of federal or state money so the
Foundation is taking it upon itself to find new revenue sources to create much-needed additional
scholarships.

The scholarships that are currently available have been made possible thanks to donations from
a number of generous families and organizations.

The Foundation has awarded more than $748,000 in scholarships to OTC students since 1999,
including more than 300 since the fall of 2007 through the fall of 2008.

Support of this initiative will allow the College to:

  • Increase the number and value of student scholarships.
  • Recognize more diverse academic talents and achievements with specialized scholarships.
  • Provide assistance to a wider range of students, including working adults, full- and part-time students
and those seeking job-related training for advancement.
  • Address a variety of student needs including childcare, transportation, equipment and supplemental
    educational supplies.
