OTC Foundation receives lead gift for Center for Workforce Development
Lead Gift to Workforce Development
The OTC Foundation received its first lead gift from Jerry and Linda Jared. Mr. Jared is the President of Jared Enterprises, former owner of Cody's Convenience Stores, and member of the OTC Foundation Board. The Jareds have given the money in support of the Center for Workforce Development Initiative, a part of the OTC Foundation's major gifts Capital Campaign.
"The Jareds' gift demonstrates their support of the workforce and the businesses of southwest Missouri, and an understanding of what Ozarks Technical Community College has to offer," said Dr. Hal Higdon, president of Ozarks Technical Community College. "We are grateful for their generosity and their involvement with this initiative."
"The Center for Workforce Development plays a vital role in the community, offering both specific training for area businesses and short-term programs to get people ready for the workforce quickly," explained Mr. Jared. "I am pleased to have an opportunity to support this important part of OTC."
