Begin 2010-2011 Loan Application Process
Student Loan Entrance Counseling and MPN Process
The following information and instructions apply to ALL students attending Ozarks Technical Community College for the 2010-11 year (Fall 2010, Spring 2011, Summer 2011).
The college is moving to the Federal Direct Loan Program for the 2010-11 year. Therefore, any Master Promissory Note (MPN) you may have with a lender and any loan counseling you have completed previously will not be effective for the Federal Direct Loan Program. Once you complete the MPN, it is effective for 10 years and may be used at any college participating in the Federal Direct Loan Program.
Therefore, all returning or new students must:
- Complete Student Loan Counseling online
- Complete a new Master Promissory Note online
*Following completion of the entrance counseling and MPN online, the college will receive notification that each of the processes has been completed. This will allow the college to process your student loans and notify you of your loan eligibility.

Read the information provided on the web page at the link below and then select the Stafford Loan box on the lower left side of the screen and begin the loan counseling session by clicking on Tutorial and Quiz . Once you have completed the session in its entirety the college will be sent confirmation of your completion of the student loan counseling.

Master Promissory Note
Read the information provided on the web page at the link below and then select the Complete New MPN for Student Loans link on the lower left side of the screen then the button for Subsidized / Unsubsidized on the following screen. Once you have completed the MPN in its entirety the college will be sent confirmation of your completion of the MPN.
