Externally Funded Scholarships for OTC Students

Please read each scholarship carefully! The scholarships all contain different deadlines and different information that you need to provide. Also, if the scholarship application is incomplete, the organization will not accept your application. If you require any assistance, please contact the OTC Financial Aid Office at financialaid@otc.edu.

AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education. AES scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. Please click here to apply.

American Chemical Society - The goal of this scholarship program is to aid in building awareness of the value and rewards associated with careers in science and to assist students in acquiring skills and credentials needed for success in these areas. BigSun Scholarship-The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits.  The BigSun Scholarship offers an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Please visit the website at BigSun to learn how to apply

Boys and Girls Club-The Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield awards more than $85,000.00 annually in college scholarships to former Club members and staff pursuing a degree in higher education. The goal of the Boys & Girls Club's Scholarship Program is to give members an opportunity to reach their goals by attending college or trade school. Scholarship recipients are selected and interviewed annually by the Boys & Girls Club Scholarship Committee appointed by the Board of Directors. Bureau of Health Professions - Provides scholarship, grant, and loan information to students interested in health care fields. Please click on the above link to find out how to apply.

CampusRN -has launched a new scholarship program in conjunction with the creation of the CampusRN state edition network. This nationwide scholarship program is the most comprehensive of its kind for nursing programs and nursing students because it features scholarship winners from six different regions across the country in which CampusRN has launched state edition sites. CampusRN will award six $2500 scholarships to a needy and deserving nursing student in each region. Click here to fill out an application.

Community Foundation of the Ozarks - This foundation is based in Springfield, Missouri, with a regional network of affiliate organizations. Community Foundation of the Ozarks serves as the primary vehicle for philanthropy in the region. Raise The Nation - The mission at Raise The Nation is to provide economic support to single parent women who want to continue with their education or repay student loans. We believe, through education, single parent women will be able to achieve independence for their families and will be successful in their goal of raising the nation — their children. The Texas County Memorial Hospital Healthcare Foundation will be offering two $1000 scholarships for the upcoming Fall 2010 semester. Applications are now being accepted through July 1st, 2010. To be eligible for a scholarship, students must be pursuing additional education in the healthcare field (a direct patient care training program) and reside in a 40 mile radius of Texas County Memorial Hospital.

TG's Charley Wootan Grant Program- For the 2010-2011 academic year, TG will offer one-year grants ranging from $1,000 to $4,394 to qualified undergraduate students. The grant program is open to students who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Are high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll, or are already enrolled, at least half-time in an undergraduate course of study for the fall of 2010 at a Title IV-eligible, two- or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school
  • Demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Are eligible to receive Title IV funds.

Westlake Scholarship Program- The James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Foundation was established in 1981 pursuant to the provisions of the wills of James L. and Nellie M. Westlake for the purpose of assisting Missouri residents in pursuing a college education.
