Financial Aid Status Information for Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress
Your academic performance in the college courses you take will impact your ability to retain eligibility for Federal Student Aid (Federal Pell Grant, Federal Direct Loans, Federal SEOG, Federal Work Study). In other words, dropping, withdrawing, failing or otherwise not completing courses will impact your ability to continue to receive funding from Federal Student Aid Programs.
Financial Aid Warning Status
Once the college determines you have not completed at least 67% of your coursework (cumulative) or do not meet the minimum grade point average requirements for your program of study, you will be place on Financial Aid Warning.
Financial Aid Warning means you are still eligible for Federal Student Aid for one semester and must improve your academic standing in order to avoid loss of Federal Student Aid. The amount or degree of improvement varies from student to student, so speculation of how well one must do in classes is not as important as being aware of your own strengths and weaknesses when determining what and how many courses to take during a semester. The goal should be to take courses that lead to completion of your chosen program of study and successful completion of all courses with a grade point average which meets SAP Policy and also keeps you on course for completion of your program (graduation).
Financial Aid Probation Status
Following a Financial Aid Warning, once the college determines again you have not completed at least 67% of your coursework (cumulative) or do not meet the minimum grade point average requirements for your program of study, you will be placed on Financial Aid Probation.

You will have the opportunity to file a financial aid appeal for consideration to be given regarding possible reinstatement of your student aid. If your aid is reinstated, you will be required to follow an academic plan in an effort to complete your program of study.
If you do not meet the objectives of your academic plan, you will lose eligibility for Federal Student Aid without an opportunity to appeal. To regain eligibility, you must take coursework without the assistance of the Federal Student Aid Programs until you meet SAP standards on your own.
Financial Aid Over Timeframe Status
Financial Aid Over Timeframe Status means that you have exceeded the maximum number of credit hours allowable for your program of study to be covered by Federal Student Aid and have lost eligibility for Federal Student Aid. You will have the opportunity to file a financial aid appeal for consideration to be given regarding possible reinstatement of your student aid. If your aid is reinstated, you will be required to follow an academic plan in an effort to complete your program of study.
