On Thursday, November 5 El club de español will be selling our popular tamales but also two Peruvian food items: “Causa rellena” and “Mazamorra morada,” they are delicious.  Fifty percent of the proceeds will be towards El club de español’s project “Mission Southwest.”  Our project consists on helping local families during Thanksgiving and Christmas by collecting donations of cash, non-perishable food items, gift certificates of turkey or ham, and toys.  Then, food baskets will be prepared and delivered to those families during the holidays.   If you would like to donate, bring your donation to ICE 351 N or place it in our boxes located around campus.

We will also have dances from Peru; one of our students will be teaching how to dance SALSA.  Please, come to the IC Atrium and experience a journey to Peru.  As always, “El club de español” will appreciate your support on our charitable endeavor.  Please, contact Elena Blackmon at blackmom@otc.edu for pre-ordering tamales and/or more information.
