Many people go to college, pick a major, and look forward to an exciting career, only to be disappointed. Many experience frustration due to one or more of the following: lower than expected wage, poor job satisfaction, lack of knowledge about the daily routine of a particular job, or simply that there are few jobs available in their industry.
We have provided links below in order to assist with forming realistic expectations about careers, expected wages, and projected job growth in various industries. See our 2008 Graduate Follow-Up Report for information about the rates at which recent OTC Graduates were able to find jobs related to their program of study. This information should be considered in light of, and compared with projected growth in these fields through 2016, as outlined in the Southwest Missouri Career Outlook.
