Job Searching with Websites
While there are possibly thousands of webites out there promising you the perfect job, many are filled with jobs that are not legitiment. Also, it is important to find a position that gives you an honest wage for an honest day's work, at a real location. Most often, "work-from-home," or "get paid to take surveys," or other other similar postings are likely to be scams, requiring you to put up money up front, or buy things you don't want or need.
Read an online job posting carefully. Some may give you the option of applying in person, emailing them your resume, or calling someone for more information. All of these options are preferable to simply applying online! When connecting with potentional employers, remember to be as Personable, Professional, and Pleasantly Persistent as possible. If you are finding very few job postings in your industry, it doesn't nescessarily mean that there are no jobs available. You may need to learn about the process of networking and researching companies in your industry or field of interest.
