Position Description

Position Title: Coordinator - Lebanon Education Center

Salary Classification: Exempt

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:                 Responsible for the coordination, maintenance, and communication at the Lebanon Education Center.

 

Authority:

Operates under the supervision and delegated authority of the Dean for Extended Campuses and College Outreach.

Duties:

Duties:

  1. Oversees the day-to-day operations and management of the education center office, facility, and staff.     
  2. Reports student issues, facility conditions, and personnel concerns to the Dean in a timely manner. 
  3. Assures the facilities are open and available for all scheduled classes and events.      
  4. Provides academic support for general and technical education programs.     
  5. Maintains a close working relationship with faculty, and teaches a minimum of six credit hours annually.       
  6. Develops course schedules and makes appropriate room assignments on a semester-by-semester basis.     
  7. Monitors the supply and equipment requisition process for the education center office and various educational programs.    
  8. Recruits, interviews, and recommends adjunct faculty to the Dean.    
  9. Conducts informal instructor evaluations and coordinates annual performance evaluations with respective division chairs.  
  10. Provides faculty orientation for new and existing instructors.  
  11. Maintains instructional files of course-related resources (abstracts, course syllabi, desk copy texts, etc.) from the various college offices.   
  12. Supervises all aspects of the student services process including assessment, admissions, advisement, registration, and financial aid.  
  13. Coordinates all business office functions including cashiering, requisitions, banking, third-party authorizations, and bookstore transactions.  
  14. Directs all computer-related issues to the Education Center Technician and/or Information Technology.   
  15. Visits local high schools, area businesses, and local manufacturers to promote college programs and establish professional relationships.  
  16. Promotes programs and develops marketing and advertising plans for the Center.   
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.
