Meet Our Employer Partnership Committee
Meet Our Employer Partnership Committee
In August 2003, Career Employment Services established an Employer Partnership Committee in an effort to seek the expertise of employers to better prepare our students to meet the needs of the current workforce and keep us apprised of current skill sets and other related employment issues. The establishment of strong relationships with a diverse constituency of employers provides the foundation for a continuous exchange of information, allowing career services staff to keep abreast of current economic and employment trends—information very valuable when shared with students, faculty, parents, alumni, and others in the community.
Mission
To build and maintain partnerships with businesses in the community that will enhance our ability to provide assistance in the recruiting needs of area organizations and further the career opportunities of students and graduates.
Goals
• Provide workforce readiness expertise to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the students/graduates for entry into the business community.
• Keep apprised of current economic and employment trends, skill sets, resume formats and other related employment issues to share with students, faculty, and other community members.
• Create an atmosphere where productive dialogue can take place to benefit business and college communities.
