Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
MANDATORY: (M1) Master’s degree in early childhood education, child and family development, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning; (M2) Experience teaching in an early childhood program; (M3) Computer literacy; (M4) Willingness to pursue certification as an online instructor through OTC’s online faculty training program.
Desirable
DESIRABLE: (D1) Familiarity with NAEYC accreditation and quality standards; (D2) Knowledge of Project Construct and KS/MO Core Competencies; (D3) Prior online teaching experience, preferably in a community college; (D4) Professional credentials or experience in early childhood education; (D5) Demonstrated effectiveness in using Blackboard to deliver or enhance instruction; (D6) Evidence of effective online course development skills.
