Description & Responsibilities:
The Student Assistant will:
1. Conduct him/herself in a professional manner and in accordance with OTC policies.
2. Help with students and other guests who visit the ASC. Reminds students as needed to log-in and log-out of tracking software and helps the student connect with appropriate staff and services.
3. Seek assistance from staff whenever he/she has a question about responding to a student’s need or question.
4. Answer the telephone in a professional manner and connect the caller with appropriate staff or answers questions according to his/her training.
5. Respond/accept supervision of ASC staff members.
6. Will assist with ASC’s Disability Support Services as needed.
7. Will be trained to assist with proctoring Online Course exams
8. If meets qualifications, tutor academic subject offered by the ASC and will participate in tutor training program.
9. Keep his/her supervisor informed on any schedule conflicts (giving a minimum of two day notice if at all possible).
10. Be punctual in filling his/her assigned scheduled times.

Skills/Abilities:
Work Experience:
Required – Good attitude, willingness to help and enjoys working with people.
Desired – Computer knowledge. Experience tutoring others. Must meet ASC Tutor Guidelines. Subjects tutored include math, writing, computers, biology, and chemistry. Work that required good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Must have good communication skills.
