Work Study Vacancy: Preschool Teacher Assistant

Description & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the classroom with the care of children ages 2-5.
  
• Carry out daily duties and assignments as needed in the classroom
  
• Assume responsibility for children in absence of lead teacher

Requirements

Skills/Abilities:

Work Experience:

Must be reliable and dependable
Must enjoy working with and interacting with young children, their families as well as with college students
A current TB skin test and a physical must be completed within 30 days
Students are also required to register with the Family Care Safety Registry

Education:

Early Childhood, Education, Psychology or Allied health major or emphasis preferred.
Must be enrolled in or taken a course within the last year related to early childhood, education or psychology to count for training hours.
