Description & Responsibilities:
Work duties consist of providing customer service support; answering phones, chats, and emails; assisting with online student needs and online course procedures; performing electronic recordkeeping and data entry; and completing other tasks as assigned.
The ideal worker is supportive of online learning concepts and methodologies; able to multi-task with phones, emails, and projects; willing to help others; and to perform repetitive tasks.
Location of Position: IC 104A
Campus: Main Campus- Springfield
Reports To: Vanessa Germeroth, Director of Online Student Affairs
Requirements
Skills/Abilities:
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Work Experience:
# Good organizational and planning skills.
# Familiar with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
# Able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced office environment.
# Able to navigate the internet and utilize online resources.
# Able to report for work on time and complete assigned shift (efforts will be made to accommodate students’ class schedule.)
Education:
High school diploma required.
Familiar and comfortable with Black Board navigation.
Successful completion of at least one semester of online coursework at OTC desired.
