Disability Support Services

The Disability Support Services Office offers support services to students with disabilities and faculty and staff who work with these students. The mission of Disability Support Services is to collaborate with faculty, staff, students and the community to encourage a college environment in which individuals are viewed on the basis of ability, not disability. This is accomplished by:

  • Determining the eligibility for services and coordinating appropriate accommodations to promote DSS for persons with disabilities.
  • Providing advising and counseling services that consider disability-related issues.
  • Minimizing physical and attitudinal barriers.
  • Building relationships and resources within the college and its community.

Ultimately, we envision a college community which values the contributions of all members regardless of disability and provides the opportunity for them to realize their greatest potential.
