Textbook Package/Bundle Adoption
The Bookstore has created a form (Textbook Package/Bundle Adoption*) that will help to further our communication about course materials being submitted by publishers to us for purposes of adoptions at OTC’s campuses and education centers. The form is the publisher representative’s responsibility to complete and show to the lead instructor and department chair for their signature. (There are copies that will be forwarded back to you once the bookstore has completed its needed information review.) It is the OTC Bookstore's hope that all the parties involved in the process will have a working knowledge of just what is in the created or proposed packages that may be adopted.
This form is only used when the created or proposed bundle/package contains a component or multiple components that are not in your company's national catalog. More specifically if there is/are item(s) in the bundle/package that only OTC can order this form will be needed. Please stop by the Textbook Manager's office to obtain this form, or if you have any questions about this new form.
*This form is not an agreement to adopt said package/bundle, but rather a tool used by all parties involved to make a better informed decision about the course materials that may be used at OTC.
The publisher representative should allow sufficient time for all parties to review this form before moving forward with your adoption process.
If you have any questions or comments please contact Scott Walker, Textbook Manager walkers@otc.edu or 417-447-6621.

Adoption Deadlines
Sept 1 – Spring Semester
March 1 – Summer Semester
April 1 – Fall Semester
In the event that an adoption is received after the deadline, the Bookstore will review the economic impact to the college should the Bookstore already have quantities on hand of the deleted item the new adoption is replacing. If the adoption is for a completely new item to be added to the current course materials, then please be aware that our students may not have this item on the first day of class. The Bookstore will do all it can to secure quantities for our students prior to the first day of class; but in the event of receiving a late adoption, the Bookstore will have no choice but to order all new copies.
