Respiratory Therapy Faculty

Mr. Pursley graduated from the St. John's/Missouri State University School of Respiratory Care in Springfield, Missouri and holds Bachelor and Master's degrees from Missouri State University and the University of Phoenix respectively. He has been an educator for approximately twenty of his thirty plus years in the field having held appointments in clinical, staff, and formal education. Doug has authored several articles that have appeared in the journal Respiratory Care and has written examination questions for the National Board for Respiratory Care.

Mr. Light received his respiratory therapist education from Ozarks Technical Community College graduating Summa Cum Laude. He holds Bachelor degrees in respiratory care and management from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. Mr. Light also graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA with a Master of Science degree.  His interests include recruiting and supervising student government activities. Aaron's area of expertise is ventilator management/critical care where he continues to practice state-of-the-art procedures in this specialty.  He is also an ACLS instructor for Coxhealth.  

Ms. Caufield obtained her respiratory therapy education from Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri. In addition to her adjunct duties at OTC, she is a Pediatric/PICU Team Leader and a member of Neonatal Transport Team at CoxHealth Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. She holds RRT and neonatal specialty credentials and is a PALS/NRP Instructor for CoxHealth.
