Janet Sell, CDA, MA is the Dental Assisting Program Director and instructor at Ozarks Technical Community College.  Before becoming an instructor in the Dental Programs, she practiced as clinical and business dental assistant in the setting of two group practices in Springfield, Missouri. In 1980, Janet received a certificate in dental assisting. Since, she has continued her educational career and holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from Ozarks Technical Community College, and a Bachelor and Master's degree from Drury University, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Higher Education Leadership, and is currently enrolled at Lindenwood University completing a Doctorate Degree in Education. As a Certified Dental Assistant, Janet has served on many professional organization boards, including the Missouri Dental Assistants Association, Springfield Dental Assistants Society, and Missouri Dental Assisting Educators. Throughout the years, she has created, directed, and participated in numerous continuing education seminars for the dental team on local and state levels. Janet has been employed at Ozarks Technical Community College since 1999 and has enjoyed teaching in the dental assisting and hygiene programs.  Since 2005, Janet has served as a curriculum consultant for the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and has worked with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at University Central Missouri as an instructor in the Career Technical Education Department.

Rebecca Caceres, CDA, RDH, BS  is a graduate from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene while serving as the president of her class.  She worked as a registered dental hygienist in Indiana for nine years and served as a District Representative to the ADHA.  Rebecca moved to Springfield in 2000 and worked in a private practice for six years.  In 2006, she moved to Managua, Nicaragua to serve as a full time missionary.  She worked as a coordinator of medical/dental missions, healthcare education, and evangelism studies.  She traveled the country serving as an oral surgery assistant and conducting dental clinics in the rural and impoverished areas of Nicaragua.  She is a member of the ADHA, MDHA, ADAA, and ADEA.  She joined the faculty of OTC in August, 2010 as a Dental Programs Instructor.  She enjoys teaching both Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene courses.

Lisa Hunter, CDA, RDH, BA is a graduate from Drury University holding a BA with a double major in Biology and Wellness Science.  Lisa continued her education graduating with honors from Ozarks Technical Community College's Dental Assisting Program, and is a Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions.  She then pursued her AAS honorary degree in Dental Hygiene from OTC and is a Registered Dental Hygienist.  Upon graduating, she was voted Missouri Dental Hygienists' Association "Most Outstanding Graduating Student."  Lisa has worked in private practice, both in the Branson and Springfield areas, and has served as an educational consultant for area dental offices.  Lisa served locally as President of the Springfield Dental Hygienists' Association and as a member on the Board of Trustees with the Missouri Dental Hygienists' Association.  Lisa has volunteered her time on the Millwood Children's Charity committee for over 9 years.  She is a member of ADHA, MDHA, GSDHA, SDHA, ADEA, MCCA, and MOSAHOE.  Lisa joined OTC Dental Programs in 2007.  She is currently pursuing her MS degree in Dental Hygiene Education with specializations in Public Health and Leadership from UMKC Dental School.

Elaine Coates, CDA, RDH, MS graduated from Northeast Louisiana University, in Monroe, LA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in May, 1992. She continued her education and received a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from LaJolla, CA in June, 2010.  She has worked in private practice as a registered dental hygienist for 20 years, and completed the Academy of Laser Dentistry in 2007, receiving her certification to practice laser dentistry within the scope of a dental hygienist. She completed her certification as a dental assistant in July, 2012 while serving as an adjunct instructor for OTC Dental Programs.  Included in those years of experience, she also worked in medical and dental clinics for the United States Navy Reserves and United States Army Reserves. She has worked in numerous clinics throughout the United States, and in 2007 - 2008, she served on a deployment to Kuwait with the Navy. While serving in Kuwait, she attended to the needs of military servicemen and women in a medical clinic and also as a dental hygienist in the dental clinic. Although a Navy Veteran, she is still actively serving in the Army Reserves in Jefferson City, Missouri.  She joined OTC full time in August, 2012 as a Dental Programs Instructor teaching in the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene courses.  Her professional organizational memberships include the VFW, American Legion, 40/8, ROA, MCCA, ADEA, ADHA, MDHA and ADAA.

Sheila Hunter, CDA, RDH, BS graduated from OTC with an AAS in Dental Hygiene and received the Golden Scaler award for her class in 2004.  Sheila continued her education at UMKC and graduated in May, 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.  Sheila has worked in private practice since 1988 starting as the front desk receptionist.  She did on the job assistant training and studied on her own to take the Basic Skills Mastery exam in 1996 and the Dental Assistants National Boards to become a certified dental assistant in 2000.  Sheila has worked as a RDH for the past 8 years in private practice.  Sheila joined OTC Dental Programs in 2012. She is a member of ADHA, MDHA, ADEA and MCCA.
