New Dental Assisting Hybrid Track option - You now have 2 options to apply to the program. The dental assisting program will be taking applications for the hybrid track option in January of 2011 through October 15, 2011. The new 12 month program will begin in the spring semester of 2012. Please click on the Dental Assisting option below for complete information and application.
Allied Health
We offer a variety of Allied Heatlh programs. The following instructions will help you complete the application process.
NOTE: For Health Information Technology and High School Health Services programs, you'll need to see program directors or instructors of those sections for application specifics.
- Click on individual program to find specific application, forms, and instructions.
- Complete two (2) applications: 1) OTC Application for Admission if not currently enrolled, and 2) Allied Health Program Specific Application to the Allied Health office. The second application requires a $15.00 application fee (check or money order) made payable to OTC. You can download an application, pick one up in person, or request that one be mailed to you. We are located in the Allied Health office in Lincoln Hall, room 210, on the OTC campus, (417) 447-8954, 447-8803, and 447-8804.
- Applications will not be processed until the $15.00 application fee is received in the Allied Health Office.
- Follow directions on the Application Checklist for the desired Allied Health program. Complete all steps before the application deadline, or your file will not be considered for the program.
- Print three (3) reference forms and distribute to people who know you in a professional manner. See Application Checklist under the specific program to determine who the best individuals would be to use as references.
- Schedule pre-admission tests if any.

Allied Health Advising Sessions
- Dental Programs Students MUST attend one group advising session before the application deadline.
- Nursing Practical Nursing and Associate of Science in Nursing
- Occupational Therapy Assistant Students receive additional points for attending one fall or spring group advising session during the year of application. No RSVP is necessary. Note: Because April 15 is on a Sunday, the 2012 OTA deadline will be extended to April 16 at 4 p.m.
- Surgical Technology Students are encouraged to attend one group advising session before applying
