Connections : A Learning Community
Connections Learning Community
You are invited to participate in a Connections Learning Community, which is basically several courses linked together. Learning Communities are being used at colleges and universities across the country, such as Texas A & M, to increase student opportunities for success.
The benefits include:
- Getting to know instructors and other students
- A sense of belonging; make helpful connections to resources
- Insight into how to learn more effectively and easily

How to Sign Up
- Choose the learning community group below that matches your placement scores.
- Choose other classes that you need (based on placement testing); make sure that the times do not conflict.
- Ask one of the advisors for a Connection’s Agreement Form (see links below). Read and sign the form and give it back to the advisor. This will ensure that you are enrolled for the linked courses listed below.
- Pre-register for your other classes and take this information with you for reference.
