Visiting Student
Visiting Students
If you are currently enrolled at another college or have already completed a degree and do not plan to attend OTC for more than one semester, then you are considered a visiting student. If you have attended OTC in the past, please see the Getting Started steps for re-admitted students.
The following list provides information needed to apply and register at OTC. Please note that visiting students are not eligible for financial aid or the A+ Scholarship.
Apply for Admission
You can complete the application online, pick up a paper copy in Student Services or print the application.
Complete Orientation
All new OTC students are required to complete orientation prior to meeting with an advisor and enrolling in classes. Orientation is strongly recommended for readmitted students who have been away from OTC for awhile. Start the online orientation.
Register for Classes as a Visiting Student
The processing time for the admission application and online orientation is 1 business day.
Once your application and orientation have been processed and new student registration opens on May 4, you may send an email to visitingstudent@otc.edu. Please include your first and last name, the last 4 digits of your social security number, the term and classes you wish to enroll in at OTC. Upon receipt of your email, you will be provided with registration instructions. See Registration Dates.
Make Tuition Payment Arrangements
By registering for classes, each student accepts responsibility for payment of all tuition and fees. Full payments can be made online through the AccessOTC tab in MyOTC on the Student Access Menu. For a complete list of deadline dates, see Tuition Payment Information.
- Option #1—Pay tuition and fees in full. This can be done through the AccessOTC tab in MyOTC on the Student Access Menu or at the Cashier's Office, 2nd floor, Information Commons.
- Option #2—Enroll with e-Cashier each semester. You can register for e-Cashier AFTER you have registered in classes for the upcoming semester. The sooner you enroll with e-Cashier, the more payment plan choices you will have.
Attend New Student Welcome Day
While the New Student Welcome Day is optional, it is a great opportunity for you to come to campus before school starts and learn about student organizations and OTC resources, pick up your textbooks, locate your classrooms and simply ask questions.
