OTC Students Sending Holiday Boxes to Soldiers
Students at OTC are doing their part to make Christmas a little brighter for some members of the U.S. military in Afghanistan. Members of various student organizations, led by the Veterans of OTC student group, have collected items that will fill boxes heading to soldiers in the U.S. Army 203rd battalion from Missouri as a part of “Operation: Thank You.”
The event was promoted during the College’s Veteran’s Day ceremony on November 11, and items were collected throughout the month. On November 30, a fundraiser was held to raise money to pay for shipping the boxes overseas. Thank you to all those who participated in the drive to fill the boxes and in the fundraiser!
